PRACTICAL BLOCKS
There are a maximum of 4 participants on a practical block. The blocks include assessments of Parts 2, 3 & 4 of the examination which is respectively the Coursework Portfolio Moderation, The Oral Interview and the Classroom Teaching exam.
The two week blocks run throughout the year from March to December. The blocks include classroom teaching with regular observations and preparatory work related to the oral interview. They culminate in moderation and examination on the Thursday and Friday of the second week. You will be informed of available blocks, once enrolled onto the course. The limited number of spaces means the blocks need to be booked at least 6 weeks in advance.

Postal resubmission of part 2 is £15 per section ( £45.00 all sections)
Please note if you are taking the written exam overseas through a local
British Council Centre there will be an additional charge for room hire
and invigilation. The approximate cost of books needed is £180. Full
details are provided after acceptance onto a course.
Payment Details: a £100 deposit must be enclosed with your application form. This is FULLY REFUNDABLE if you do not obtain a place on the course. Please note that for students who have started their course and have received their initial workbooks no refund can be made on tuition fees. Once course fees are paid, students have two years to complete their course, based on the month of starting. e.g start month, June 2010: latest finish month, June 2012. On a discretionary basis, a one year extension to the course can be agreed with SGI. Currently this extension fee is £120.
