The beginning of this year saw us proudly chalk up our two thousandth newly-qualified English language teacher who successfully completed one of our highly-regarded and globally-recognised Trinity College London validated Cert TESOL courses. This is an excellent qualification providing very solid and thorough training for those with little or no prior teaching experience and who wish to teach English either overseas or in the UK. We have always run these courses, both full-time and part-time, at our London centre, but this year we are now able to offer the Trinity validated course in Seville. Besides the Trinity Certificate, we are also validated by Trinity to run courses leading to the more advanced English language teaching qualification commonly known as the Diploma (Trinity College London Dip TESOL). We have been running this primarily distance learning course since 1995. Hundreds of teachers have successfully completed their Diplomas with us and many now have senior positions within the English language teaching industry. The flexibility of our distance Diploma combined with our customary professional and effective approach has consolidated the industry view that we are one of the most affordable quality providers of English language teacher training in the UK. There are of course thousands of qualified overseas English language teachers who feel the need to refresh their teaching and English language skills and for them we have available the Refresher course for Overseas Teachers of English. This hugely popular course, which attracts EU Comenius funding, has been running every summer since 1998 and has become a main stay of the teacher training department.
